Isn't it funny how the more time you have to do chores, the more chores you have, thus limiting the amount of chores you can complete?
I picked up a few more books:
The Self Sufficient Life
Liberty and Tyranny: A Conservative Manifesto
Square Foot Gardening
And one that I have my eye on is Five Acres and Independence. I skimmed through it at the bookstore but didn't buy it as I have so many already.

The self Sufficient Life and How to live it, by John Seymour? (I think there are two with similiar titles. Both are good books but one is european? If I remember correctly. Some of the gardening doesnt apply here in the states. Let us know how Square Foot Gardening is- that one I have had my eye on!
ReplyDeleteYes, that's the one (the one by John Seymour). It is a GREAT book. I rented it from the library and I think I'm going to go ahead and buy it.
ReplyDeleteThe Square Foot Gardening book: Fantastic book, but I am a bit disappointed in the number of vegetables it shows how to plant. Then again, this particular one I have is like 30 years old, and there have been a few revisions afterward, so perhaps those have a broader coverage.
It truly will change the way you garden, though. It's unbelievable how much sense it makes, and you think "why did no one come up with this before!?"
